Welcome to day 2!

Good morning everyone! In the first 24 hours of this campaign we funded, and then unlocked FOUR Stretch Goals!! Here's a quick visual of the items that have been unlocked so far:

Let's talk Anomalies

A big part of this campaign is going to revolve around the concept of Anomalies. If you look at the components list at the top of our campaign page, you will see these little beauties:

Anomaly tokens

Those Monolith tokens, modeled based on a rather notable movie series, will be dropped into the system at the start of the game with the rest of the components (and yes, they are in the exact proper dimensions!). When a player encounters one in space, a random Anomaly card will be drawn. 3 Anomaly cards are already included in the base game, and others are available in various add-ons and expansion packs (and, of course, we may have some Stretch Goals planned to add more!). 

These Anomalies can introduce NEARLY ANYTHING into the game!! The amount of rich theming that will emerge from these is incredible, and of course this only increases the infinite replayability of the game. These are the Anomalies that are already included in the base box:

  • Seed Ship: An ancient colony ship from the outer reaches made its way into the system! The ship will settle on the nearest planet, permanently adding a unique facility that can be accessed by players landing there. A special token will be added to the planet tile, indicating the unique effect that can or will be activated upon landing. 
  • Dyson Sphere: A gigantic set of rings have been constructed around the sun, able to harness its immense power! A large ring token will be placed around the sun, with spaces allowing players to dock their ships and charge up with special abilities.
  • Wormhole: A staple anomaly in science fiction! There will be several wormhole tokens allowing players to travel between distant locations in space. We're still playing with some ideas to add wormhole artwork to the Space Walls (to be used as additional wormhole locations), and/or allowing a station to be built at the mouth of one wormhole, driving commerce for the player who controls it!

Keep in mind the above Anomalies are intentionally kept on the simpler side of things. The Anomalies included in our Limited Promo Pack (the Death Dodecahedron), Shipping Shenanigans (Galactic Shipping Hub and Wreck of the Everstar), and those we intend to develop with the community will include even more unique components, extra cards, and so on!

Once we have that poll completed (2 days from now), we will indicate what the theme of the first COMMUNITY GENERATED Anomaly will be, and then we will start taking idea submissions! We CAN'T WAIT to see all the amazing ideas that will come out of this!

We did it!

It’s almost cliché to send out the first KS update stating the obvious, but that doesn’t decrease our excitement about reaching this incredible milestone one bit!

We are so proud to bring you the next game in our "drop-style" series, and we know it will absolutely blow you away when you get your hands on it!

So let’s get on to those Stretch Goals now, and we’ll also start talking with you about designing some kick-ass Anomaly content (and components!) very soon!
